I have been seeing that a lot lately over the past 6 weeks. My "complaint" to DA, as I suspect a server is failing, met with the usual response. Aside from denying that "anything" could be happening to their "perfect system", I was told that if there was any real issue/problem, they surely already knew about it, and will get around to fixing it, eventually. (heavy on the "eventually")

Short of a full fledged crash, it looks like DA might be trying to skimp on the funds for system maintenance and upkeep.

In theory, DA should have a backup of all their systems, and any crash SHOULD only impact images on that isolated server, if at all.  Key word: SHOULD. If they are actually having a hard drive failure, then things can get interesting (in the very damaging sense of the word).

As for backups, outside of having a personal external harddrive or DVD/CD copy, I would recommend one of the web "cloud" storage options. With not considered a "storage" gallery, FLICKR can be a great place to stash images. They even give you 1TB free storage, and if you set pictures to 'adult" or private, you don't even have to share them with the world.

Yeah, this crap started a few days ago.  They also messed up the formatting on the notifications page, at least for me.  It's like they didn't have any line breaks and I had to scroll way out to the right to use the select/delete buttons.

It seems like they've fixed the formatting problem for now.

I had the same problem already Tuesday and today we go again. It seems to be the result of DA, as well as the appearance has changed at the watches

I was having almost the exact same problem earlier today. I suspect an issue with DA's servers.

I agree; the main point is that our setups and internet are sufficiently different that we can isolate pretty much everything except DA's kit as te issue(s).
